Rental Search Update

I went to see the Hilo Village Apartments today. They are very cute. They are all updated with new flooring, new kitchens, and new bathrooms. They are in a great location close to downtown and the Hilo lagoons. The utilities run around $60/month, which is much cheaper than I thought. They have property management and maintenance on site. They also have a security guard on site. Below is a picture of the spec apartment at Hilo Village:

Yesterday another rental option came onto the market. It is a 150 sq/ft cottage in Pepeekeo with utilities/water/trash included. Pepeekeo is about 10 minutes north of Hilo. It is a very pretty place.

Pros:

Cheap!

Cute!

Ocean view

Quiet and private

Full kitchen

Cons:

No closet

No bathtub

Out of town

Truly tiny house living

I get to see the Pepeekeo cottage on 4/25. There is currently a tenant, so we are working around his schedule.

The Wainaku studio apartment is still at the top of my list as it is in town and very affordable. I have to turn in my application and $20 background check payment so I can go take a look at them.
