The SUN is OUT!

After a week of rain, the SUN is finally shining in Hilo! How much rain did we get? I don't have a gauge. The National Weather Service has a graph with teeny print. From their data, I would guess 3 inches of rain over the past week. That's not bad. In January, it rained 8 inches in one week. We are at 150 inches of rain for the year. Hilo has a tropical rainforest climate, after all.

At work, we take the kids for walks every day. The past week, we took umbrellas on every walk. Today was the first day we didn't have to carry umbrellas. It was magical.
